I think this card kit is super cute. It is very easy to assemble because there is no stamping or adhesive required. It comes with everything you need. This also makes it the perfect kit for beginners or to gift to a beginner. I may not be a beginner but I love it too because I can create it quickly to have cards on hand. I love the pocket style and think it is perfect for Spring because you could add a little packet of seeds in there. You could also do a tea bag or gift card. It’s just so fabulous!

These cards are super easy to assemble but I have a few pointers. The instructions just have a photo so here you go. Be sure to put the twine through the holes and tie it into a bow before dealing the pocket closed. This makes it so much easier to get the twine in. Also, the pocket is popped out a bit so the card slides in and out easily. When you go to fold on the score lines, take note of that second score line that makes it like a super skinny little box. This will also help line up the little notch on the fold that pops out towards the top. It still works just fine if you don’t make that little popped up box though……I did it! 🙂 Always here you all to make the mistakes and share them with you. lol

Reveal of the How Sweet It Is Designer Series Paper!!!

Is it January 3rd yet???? The Occasions Mini Catalog is comes out then and it is AMAZING!!! If you are a customer of mine, your copy of the catalog should be arriving in the mail any day now!! Isn’t it so pretty??? Do you love bright color like me?? This paper has these fun candy prints which I think will be make super fun kid cards but also adult cards. Everyone loves candy after all, right? Even if you aren’t a candy fan, the other side has fun bright print that are more solid and simple. Also, I think the colors scream Lisa Frank and that reminds me of my childhood. Any other Lisa Frank lovers out there?? Let me know in the comments below!

Reveal of the Needlepoint Nook Designer Series Paper!!!

The Occasions Mini Catalog is coming out on January 3rd. There are so many goodies so I just can’t wait till then to start showing you everything!!! Today, I’m sharing the Needlepoint Nook Designer Series Paper!!! This paper is so pretty and detailed. It seriously looks like needlepoint which is so cool!

Isn’t it so pretty??? I love that this paper includes like every color and not just a specific shade of a color. Pinks, Greens, Blues, Purple, Red, and Pink are all in this paper pack. That gives this paper a nice variety and so many different options to go with as your base color to coordinate. Even if you aren’t a fan of some of the needlepoint looks, the other side of the paper is fabulous with simple solid color prints. It is so versatile.

All My Love Designer Series Paper Reveal!!!

The Occasions Mini Catalog is coming out on January 3rd and I’m so excited!!! I wanted to start sharing some of the goodies with you. Today, I’m sharing the All My Love Designer Series Paper!!! This paper is perfect for Valentine’s Day but there are lots of great prints for Anniversaries, Birthdays, Weddings, and more. It’s got flowers so you all know I’m in love!

Isn’t it so pretty??? I love all the shades of pinks and reds and everything in between! The other thing that I love about Stampin’ Up’s designer paper is that one side is usually holiday themed or a specific design but the other side is simple like stripes/dots/etc. This makes it perfect to use up all of the paper even if you don’t use it for that holiday. I will probably use some of the hearts for Valentine’s Day but then use the rest for other occasions. It’s perfect!

Craft & Carry Stamparatus Bag!!!

I’m so excited to share with you all that Stampin’ Up has created a Craft & Carry Stamparatus Bag!!!! This bag is super cute and versatile!

First of all this bag is CUTE! I love the navy and coastal cabana colors. It is also super strong and thick canvas. This isn’t a thin bag that is going to tear or anything.  It also have lots of pockets for all kinds of things! The Stamparatus goes on one side with the velcro strap holding it in tightly and padded pocket. There is no fear that the Stamparatus will break or get damaged. The other side has 2 pockets for the accessories like extra clear plates, grid papers, and even stamps and ink. There is also an outside pocket with a magnet closure. The zipper is super strong too! You could add in some stamps, cardstock, and ink pad to take with you somewhere. After all that is what cute bags are for, right??

My Review of the Take Your Pick Tool!!!

Today, I’m sharing with you my review of the Take Your Pick Tool!!! I finally took it out of the box to use and now I’m in love!!!

This little tool is just $10 (US) and has so many little gadgets and uses. The left side is the putty and a refill. This is used for picking up little things like sequins or beads or die cuts. Once the putty isn’t tacky anymore, just advance out a little more. There are also refills for this to buy too but the 2 that come with it should last you awhile.

The other end (right side) has a little pancake flipper tool which is great for picking up a rhinestone or pearl and setting it on your project. It’s slim wide base allows it to get under and pick up the adhesive under it as well. If you rotate the pancake flipper to the unlock position, it comes out and the other end is a poker tool. This is great for starting a hole or making a marker spot to cut or position in that area. Laying in front of the tool is another piece that can be locked into that end. It has a stylus on both ends – big and small. These are great for scoring cardstock or outlining an image.

Recently I was die cutting a lot of these adorable little labels from the Stitched Labels Framelits. You have to be very delicate popping it out because otherwise the little loops will rip or sometimes there are indention marks from pressing on it. I slid the little pancake flipper around the framelit and eased it out perfectly. It was easy and I didn’t ruin/rip any of them. I was sold for sure after that! Template For The Stamparatus!!!

After posting the wreath card on Tuesday using the Stamping In The Round Technique, I had lots of people request a template tutorial! I’m always happy to help you all out so here it is – a template for the Stamparatus!!!

This template I created on Stampin’ Up Grid Paper but you can also use just a piece of printer paper like the one below. First up, I found the center from both sides and created that cross line in purple. Next, I took a scrap piece of paper in a square and placed it in the center. You can start with whatever size of square you would like. This square is the size of cardstock you will be stamping on for your project. The one above is a 3″ square down to a 2-1/4″ square. Trace the square centered and then rotate it into a diamond and trace again.

After you create the first square centered and in a diamond, trim off a 1/4″ from the top and one of the sides. Line up the square template in the center and trace along the edges. Keep going until you have the smallest square you need.

That is how I created the template. I’m thinking I will laminate this so that it is protected from ink or ripping and I can use it over and over again. Check out the wreath card that I created using this template here! Also, stay tuned as I have another fabulous sample coming soon!

Tin Tile Embossing Folder!!!

Oh my goodness, my favorite product by far in the Holiday Mini Catalog is the Tin Tile Embossing Folder. It is just stunning on a project and looks amazing with foils!

The intricate details in the folder are just amazing! I love all the texture and the elegant look! To me, this folder was meant to be for foil papers!!! It’s just stunning! As you can see I used different foils in the photo above. I even used this new Galvanized Metallic Paper!!! It’s like the perfect brushed silver look.

Then I had some fun adding some black ink with a Sponge Dauber for a more rustic look. I really like the look on some of the foils and not so much on others.

The Galvanized Metallic looks super cool since it has that rustic look and a less shine and glitz.

I kinda love this technique a bit! Of course some of them are darker and others are lighter. I simply rubbed some black on very quickly. I could always go back and add more or keep it light and dark for a more rustic look! Which one is your favorite?? Let me know in the comments below!

So if you are anything like me, you didn’t even glance at this paper when it came out in the New Catalog in June. After all, it was the middle of summer and hot outside so winter and the holidays were not on your mind then.
