Punched Purple Posy!!!

Posted on

Happy Monday!!! The New In Colors are here but sadly Purple Posy isn’t! Stampin’ Up is having some quality issues with this color and they want to make it right before selling it! While that is super frustrating to not have this color, we all want a good product, right?!?!? Since I love the color but don’t have the ink pad, I’m just using the cardstock!!! Check out this beautiful Punched Purple Posy card!!!

Punched Purple Posy, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Here I used the cardstock for the flowers and layer and didn’t need the ink pad! Thinking of out the box so I can use this fabulous new color! I’m loving purple so much lately! (Have I mentioned Claire looks really good in Purple too?? 🙂 )

I started with a Mint Macaron Card base measuring 4-1/4″ x 11″! Next, I stamped all over the background with the leaves from the Floral Essence Stamp Set! I used Mint Macaron Ink for the leaves for that perfect tone on tone look! Then I layered on a piece of Purple Posy cardstock measuring 3″ x 4″.

Floral Essence Purple Posy, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For the focal point, I cut a piece of Whisper White measuring 2-1/2″ x 3-1/2″
and stamped the greeting from the Floral Essence Stamp Set along the bottom in Memento Black Ink! I stamped 2 of the flowers from the same set onto Purple Posy cardstock too! You need 2 flowers so they overlay perfectly for that full punched purple posy! I don’t know that this is a Posy though…..I’m not good with flower names but I’m pretty sure. 🙂 Before adding the white layer to the card front, I tied some Mint Macaron Textile Ribbon around it. Then I added it to the card front and adhered the flower with Stampin’ Dimensionals!

This style works perfectly for a lot of different occasions. Just change up the greeting and even the colors to match the occasion or season! I love it! Be sure to check out the supply list below if you would like to recreate this card!

Quick Thinking of You Card!!!

Posted on

Sometimes I like to really go all out on a card and other times I like quick and simple. That might be because of lack of time or a lack of creativity. Surely I’m not alone here. There are times I sit down to stamp and I got nothing. It is a struggle and I question everything. Then there are times I sit down and I can’t stamp/create fast enough. Try this with that and oh oh oh what about this. Have you had those days?? Let me know in the comments below! Today, I’m sharing this quick thinking of you card that I created on a blah day! Still nailed it I think! 🙂

Quick Thinking of You Card, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Of course it is fabulous, I used the amazing Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper!!! It is so beautiful!

I started with a Whisper White card base which means I don’t need to insert a white piece on the inside for writing on. Woot Woot! Next, I stamped the filigree image from the Good Morning Magnolia Stamp Set on either ends in Mossy Meadow Ink. Then I added a 4″ x 4″ square of Magnolia Lane Designer Series Paper in the middle. Using a piece of this size means that you can get 9 of these cards from 1 sheet of 12″ x 12″ paper with no waste!

For the greeting, I used the Everyday Label Punch and the NEW Timeless Label Punch!!! Stamping the greeting from the Good Morning Magnolia Stamp Set on Whisper White and layering it onto Petal Pink. Before adding it to the card front, I added a small strip of the Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon. Then I added the greeting on top with Stampin’ Dimensionals!

Get through this together, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For the inside, I stamped another greeting from the same set in Mossy Meadow Ink. Then I stamped one of the flowers in Petal Pink! Just perfect! Also, is this greeting not the most fabulous thing ever?? I love it!

If you want to recreate this quick thinking of you card, check out the supplies listed below! Also, check out all the Magnolia Lane Designer Paper by clicking here!

More Gingham Fun!!!

Last week I shared some fabulous cards using the Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper. Check that out here! Today, I’m sharing more gingham fun! Let me know in the comments which set your favorite is!

More gingham fun, www.LaurasStampPad.com

These cards were created using Grapefruit Grove card bases. Next, I too Whisper White (4″ x 5-1/4″) and added a piece of the gingham to the left side measuring 2″ x 4″. The other card uses a piece measuring 5-1/2″ x 2″. The inside uses the leftover pieces. For the triangles, I was left with a 2″ square which I just cut corner to corner. The greetings were stamped from the Well Said Stamp Set! I used the same greetings for both but flip flopped them from one card to the next with which one is on the outside.

Blue & Yellow Gingham, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For 1 of the blue cards and 1 of the yellow cards, I decided to switch it up! I just love blue and yellow together! I used 1″ x 4″ strips and stamped the greeting in between. Using the Butterfly Gala Punch, I punched out 2 Balmy Blue and 2 Daffodil Delight. I added 2 to the front and used the other 2 for the inside decoration! The baby card used the Rectangle Stitched Shapes for all the pieces. The stitched frame is super cute and then I used the inside rectangle for the inside of the card. Adorable!! This style would work for the other colors of gingham too.

Yellow Gingham, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For the Daffodil Delight cards, I used one set of the blue! Simple squares for a quick and easy card. The ribbon was colored with the Stampin’ Blends Markers! I recommend maybe using the light marker as it seems the dark marker was a bit too dark. That is all personal preference though! For the top card, I used the Banner Triple Punch and Layering Circles Framelits!!! The Gingham Gala Adhesive Backed Sequins made for the perfect finishing touch!

I had so much fun creating all 10 of these cards using the Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper!!! Tons of all occasion cards to have on hand. The Well Said Stamp Set was the perfect set for inside and outside greetings! I love it! Click the supplies below to make some of your own! So much more gingham fun!!!

You get teary eyed at Graduations?? I always do because it is such a milestone in these graduates lives. They have accomplished so much and there is still so much for them to learn and experience. It is exciting and scary all at the same time. I think this card is perfect for Graduation – You are Unstoppable!!

You are Unstoppable, www.LaurasStampPad.com

It shows the graduate that they are amazing and can do anything they set their mind to. It also shows your love and support. The inside of the card says, “Keep reaching for your dreams, I will keep cheering you on.” I love it!!!

I started with a Flirty Flamingo card base measuring 4-1/4″ x 11″. Next, I added a piece of the All My Love Designer Series Paper measuring 4″ x 5-1/4″. This paper is retiring soon but still available. Get it before it is gone! I added some Whisper White Polka Dot Ribbon along the crease/left hand side. It is just tied into a double knot. It doesn’t stand out a ton but adds a little texture. You could always go with a Lovely Lipstick Ribbon to make it really pop!

For the greeting, I used the Layering Squares Framelits for that fun scalloped edge. The scallop square is Soft Sea Foam and the smooth square is Whisper White. This card style works for a lot of different occasions. The greeting, You Are Unstoppable, works for more than just Graduation too! Change up the greeting for whatever you need! Bring on the Gingham!!!

Gingham is soooo IN right now! I did an entire class on Gingham using the Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper! The class consisted of 2 cards for each of the 5 colors. I am going to share some today and the rest later in the week! Bring on the Gingham!!!

Bring on the Gingham, www.LaurasStampPad.com

These samples were done in Highland Heather!!! I used Gorgeous Grape and Whisper White cardstock as well!!!

Starting with the card on the left, I went with a Highland Heather card base. Next, I took a 2″ x 5-1/2″ piece of the Gingham Gala Designer Series Paper for the left hand side. Before adding it to the card front, I added a small strip of Gorgeous Grape to the left side for a little pop of color! This is also a great way to use you scraps! For the greeting, I stamped it on a scrap piece of Whisper White from the Well Said Stamp Set! It has the perfect inside/outside greetings! I layered the greeting onto a Pearlized Doily which is layered over a 2-1/4″ Circle Punch of Gorgeous Grape! I finished it off with some Gingham Gala Sequins!

For the card on the right side, I used a Highland Heather card base too! Next, I took a piece of Gorgeous Grape (4″ x 5-1/4″) and layered on a 3-3/4″ square of gingham paper! Then I took some Whisper White Woven Thread and tied it around the cardstock where the gingham paper ends. This helps to give a smooth transition from one paper to another. For the greeting, I used the 1-3/8″ Scallop Circle Punch and 1-1/4″ Circle Punch. Again I used the Well Said Stamp Set for the greeting!!

The insides of the cards have the coordinating greetings and some of the leftover gingham pieces used as decoration! No designer paper waste here!!

Lemon Lime Twist Gingham, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For the Lemon Lime Twist Cards, I used all the Tailored Tag Punch!!! For the card on the left, I placed the greeting down first with Stampin’ Dimensionals. This makes it pop more! Then I just added in all around till it was covered. Then I trimmed off the ones that were hanging off the paper!

The card on the right was created using a piece of Lemon Lime Twist gingham measuring 4″ x 5-1/4″. I layered the greeting with 2 of the tags just off set a bit. Using the Silver Baker’s Twine, I added some loops and secured it to the back of the greeting!

Again for the insides of the cards, I used leftover pieces of the designer paper!!!

If you want to create these cards, check out the supplies listed below! Also, stay tuned for the other 3 colors in the pack! I will be posting those later this week! Bring on the Gingham! Also, check out these designer paper tips!

Father’s Day is around the corner and this card would be perfect!!! It also makes a great birthday card too!!!

You're a Classic, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This is a fun and simple card that could be done in various color combinations! I did use one of the retiring color – Lemon Lime Twist!!

I started with a Lemon Lime Twist card base measuring 11″ x 4-1/4″. Next, I took a piece of Whisper White (3-1/2″ x 5-1/2″) and adhered it down the center. Using a piece of the Graceful Glass Designer Vellum, I sponged Blueberry Bushel Ink onto the back for some color. Be sure to allow it to dry a bit or you can use the Heat Tool to set the ink. Once it was ready, I adhered it to the left side!

For the focal point, I stamped the car and greeting onto a Whisper White rectangle measuring 3-1/4″ x 2-1/4″. These were stamped in Blueberry Bushel Ink. To The Women Who Does It All!!!

Posted on

This is the card I gave to my Mom for Mother’s Day!!! The greeting is perfect!! As women we tend to do it all, multi-tasking at it’s finest!!! This beautiful card is the perfect way to celebrate and acknowledge that.

To The Women Who Does It All, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This beautiful card uses the retiring Floral Romance Designer Series Paper. This card is also one of the cards in my latest Laura’s Quick Kits!!! You can put any greeting on this card for any occasion!

I started with a piece of Mossy Meadow as the card base. Next, I took a piece of Whisper White (3-7/8″ x 5-1/8″) and adhered it to the front. This is just a hair smaller than the Floral Romance Vellum which is 4″ x 5-1/4″. I did this so that it wouldn’t match up perfectly but instead have that gradual fade on the edges. You can also put the adhesive on the vellum anywhere because it doesn’t show through. This was a game changer for me! In the past when I used vellum, it was a pain to try to hide the adhesive behind your focal point or something. Not with this paper!!!

For the decoration, I punched out a 2″ Circle in Crumb Cake and ran it through the Big Shot in the Basket Weave Embossing Folder. I love this little big of texture behind those flowers. The flowers were punched out using the Bitty Blooms Punch Pack. When assembling, I placed the circle down first and then the greeting. This was stamped from the Strong & Beautiful Stamp Set and punched out with the Triple Banner Punch! Next, I gathered the little flowers over that straight edge of the greeting. The pink flowers are on Stampin’ Dimensionals. The leaves are from the Leaf Punch!

Laura's Quick Kits, www.LaurasStampPad.com

On the inside, I added a layer of Whisper White (4″ x 5-1/4″) and stamped the greeting from the Strong & Beautiful Stamp Set. Then I added a few more punched flowers on the corners! It is just so beautiful and was the perfect card for my Mom!!!

Loving this look?? Check out my Laura’s Quick Kits and you can make 2 of these as well as 4 others. All of the supplies are included, you just need to stamp a greeting and assemble!

Make It A Sweet Celebration, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card is super simple and a create way to use up designer paper and ribbon!!!

I started with a Whisper White card base. Next, I stamped the greeting from Sweetest Thing Stamp Set at the bottom in Gorgeous Grape. I also stamped some gummy bears on the inside of the card too!!! Next, I took a piece of Coastal Cabana and ripped one edge. Then I adhered the How Sweet It Is Designer Series Paper (2″ x 5-1/2″) closer to the cut edge. I added this to the card front and then tied the Granny Apple Green/Coastal Cabana Reversible Ribbon around the card. I like to do that so it is more secure around the card and not just around the layer. That is all you need to do!

Technique Tuesday – Pop Out Insert!!!

Posted on

Happy Tuesday!!! You all know what that means! I have a fabulous technique today that I got from the amazing stamper Ronda Wade!!! This Pop Out Insert really takes a card up a notch. I went simple on the front since the inside is so fabulous!!!

Sending Happiness & Love, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I used the Needlepoint Nook Suite from the Occasions Mini Catalog for this card and it is just fabulous! The images look so real and that just blows my mind!!

I started with a Crumb Cake card base. Next, I layered on a piece of Poppy Parade (3-1/2″ x 4-1/2″) with some Needlepoint Nook Designer Series Paper on top (3″ x 4″). For the greeting, I die cut out the label from the Needlepoint Elements Framelits. Using the greeting from the Needle & Thread (Bundle & Save 10%), I stamped it in Poppy Parade Ink. Before attaching it to the card front, I added a few loops of Old Olive Linen Thread.

Now for the real fabulous part!!! The inside of the card has this beautiful pop out insert. This is something that can be inside any of your cards. Simply score, fold, and decorate!!! I started with a piece of Whisper White measuring 5-1/4″ x 8″ and folded it in half at 4″. Then with a pencil, I marked 1-1/2″ on either side of that center score line. Measuring 2-1/2″ down the center score line, I made another mark with my pencil. Then using the score blade on the Stampin’ Trimmer or a ruler and Bone Folder, score from the 2-1/2″ mark to the 1-1/2″ mark. This creates a little triangle. Next, I folded on all of the lines to create that pop out.

Be sure to decorate before adding it to the card. I stamped a few leaves first. Next, I stamped and die cut the flowers from the Needle & Thread Bundle. These images can hang off the top of the cardstock because they are folding down when the card closes so they won’t hang out the top.

When adding the insert to the card, I used Tear And Tape because it is super strong. Once the tape it on, place it inside the card, open the card flap, peal off the tape backing and then press the card closed. This ensures that the insert will still allow the card to close flat. Next, flip over the card and repeat. Again be sure to press the card closed to seal the adhesive for that perfect look. When you open the card it might not go all the way to the fold or seem a little off on the sides but that is okay. The important part is that it closes flat.

Crisscross Applesauce!!!

Posted on

Happy Monday!!! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!!! Today, I’m sharing a fabulous card and when I look at it, all I can think is crisscross applesauce. Who doesn’t say crisscross without applesauce following??? Unless maybe you were a big fan of the band!! Let me know in the comments if you were!

Crisscross Applesauce, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This is a simple card and a great way to use up designer series paper. Adding the stitched look to the rectangles and fun linen thread just makes it that much more special!!!

I started with a Fresh Fig card base and stamped the little flower all over in Fresh Fig Ink. The flower is from the Bloom By Bloom Stamp Set. Next, I took 2 pieces of the Floral Romance Designer Series Paper and die cut them with the Stitched Rectangle Framelits! Then, I stamped the greeting on the wooden one in Fresh Fig Ink. This greeting is from the Strong & Beautiful Stamp Set.

On the smaller rectangle, I wrapped Linen Tread down the rectangle and back again creating that fun crisscross pattern. I used Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back side to hold it all in place and for adhering to the card. This gives a little texture too. I finished it off with a little Frosted Flower Embellishment!

Strong & Beautiful, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For the inside of the card, I rounded 2 corners with the Detailed Trio Punch. Using that same flower from the front, I stamped a few in Petal Pink and the coordinating greeting in Fresh Fig!!! I love the little decorated inside that just makes the card look so fabulous! After all, you can’t write on Fresh Fig cardstock anyway so why not add in some more fun!

Check out the supplies listed below so you can recreate this card! Many of these items are retiring so get them before they are gone!
