May 2017 Paper Pumpkin – Sprinkled With Love!!!

Posted on

The May 2017 Paper Pumpkin Kit, Sprinkled With Love, is super cute and fun with it’s donut theme! I was able to make so many cards with this kit and all the leftovers. I love that about these kits. There is always so much product in each one!!! Sign up now with the Promo Code: STARTHERE and you can get June, July, & August at 25% off which makes it even more fabulous! Click here to get signed up!

Sprinkled With Love,

LOOK AT ALL OF THESE!!!! I created 17 Cards and 9 Treat Bags with this kit!!! It technically states that it makes 9 cards and 9 treat bags but with all of the leftovers, I added a little bit of my own cardstock to create even more!!! Let’s look at it all!

Donut Cards,

So here are the original 9 cards that the kit creates! There are actually enough donut pieces (top and bottom cards) to make all the cards in the same style but I did 3 and 3 and then used the leftovers for my other cards! These cards were super simple to make and I just love the greetings. They are perfect for any occasion and super cute! Since my husband loves donuts, I got him to help me put this kit together. He did all of the pearl and sprinkle placement…….and then we went out to the local bakery for a donut! 🙂

Donut Bags,

I stamped all of the little greeting stickers so they will be ready when I am! The treat bags are the perfect size for a little something sweet and even have a nice score line to fold the top flap over! The gold twine adds a little extra bling to the treat! I did put one of the extra donuts on a treat bag for decoration. I thought this would be perfect to drop a Starbucks Gift Card into as a gift. Super cute and great to have on hand for a hostess gift or pick-me-up gift! I just love it!

Paper Pumpkin Alternatives,

These are all of the extra cards I created with the leftovers. I used Very Vanilla and Whisper White for my card bases. I added in some Pink Pirouette and So Saffron for a little bit of color! Then I just added the leftover pieces and tied some of the Gold Twine around it. I have 1 pearl and more twine to use on the treat bags left over. Oh, you can’t forget the Soft Suede Ink Pad and fabulous stamp set too!

Do you all love Paper Pumpkin as much as me??? You can see the unboxing and reveal of this kit here. My favorite part is the surprise of it each month. I also love that it is all wrapped up like a present. After all, we all deserve a present each month, don’t we?!?!?!

If you haven’t tried out Paper Pumpkin, what are you waiting for????? Sign up now with the Promo Code: STARTHERE and you can get the June, July, & August Kits at 25% off which makes it even more fabulous! That makes it like $15 for stamps, ink, a clear block, and all the goodies!!! Click here to get signed up today!

April 2017 Paper Pumpkin Kit – A Sara Thing!!!

Posted on

I love the April 2017 Paper Pumpkin Kit – A Sara Thing because I love watercolor pencils and black & which with a pop of color!!!! It was super fun to put this kit together! Look at all of the goodies. You can see the complete unboxing of this kit here!

April 2017 Paper Pumpkin Kit - A Sara Thing,

I love the little mini Colored Pencils and I can always use these for future projects as well! To be honest, I actually used an Aqua Painter rather than a cup of water and the provided brush! Less mess and I tend to make lots of them! 🙂 Here are all of the cards completed!!!

A Sara Thing Card Kit,

Look at all of that beautiful color! This picture just makes me so happy and look at all of those cards from one kit! Amazing! Now let’s focus on each card set!

Diamond Watercolor,

Okay so did you also notice that the envelope have that fabulous label and each set has a different inside pattern! How fabulous?!?!? So this set I had a little problem with it….can you guess? I stamped the greetings on the white panels and didn’t realize it needs to be placed low or high so the diamond doesn’t cover it. Oops! The lower right corner one is a little covered but I think it will be okay! I simply scribbled over each diamond with the pencils and then blended the colors together with the Aqua Painter! Next, I wiped off the top with a napkin to get any excess ink off the embossed portion. The flowers are a little chunky but I loved how they accented the card so I added them on!

Acrylic Flowers,

This pattern was super fun to color with. My favorite one is the lower left corner. I just love it! The Black and White Washi Tape is the perfect accent on the bottom of the watercolor paper! Love it! The flowers add a little bling and texture too!

Watercolor Wash Background,

These were the most fun and my favorite set because it’s so easy to just swish back and forth to watercolor. Blending the blue and yellow to make green was super fun too! I love the little random dot stamp too! Another tip is that there are few greetings that fit on the banner because the “You” doesn’t fit. I just stamped the “You” onto the watercolor paper! It turned  out perfectly!

Leftover April Paper Pumpkin,

Another reason I love Paper Pumpkin is because look at all of these leftovers I have to use on other projects!! I forgot to put the little paint brush in the photo as well! I just love Paper Pumpkin!!!

Which card set is your favorite? Let me know in the comments below! Also, if you get Paper Pumpkin, what is your favorite part of it? I can’t wait to see what you say!

If you would like to join in the fun, be sure to sign up for your Paper Pumpkin Kit before May 10th! Click here to get started! For just $19.95 (plus tax), you get a complete kit with stamps, ink and supplies. Your first kit comes with a clear block! I think it’s worth every penny!!!

You all know I LOVE Paper Pumpkin because of the fun surprise each month. The March 2017 Kit – Bunny Buddies is soooo amazing! Bunny Buddies,

The kit came with all these amazing goodies to make 9 treat bags and 9 mini cards with envelopes. Bunnies are the theme which is perfect for Easter and Spring. The stamp set had lots of fun greetings so you could mix it up. Check out the reveal of the kit here! I made the 9 little bags for my nieces and nephews with candy inside! I didn’t add the little clothespin and greeting because I figured they wouldn’t care or even notice.

Easter Bunny Treat Bags,

Look how adorable these are!!! TIP: Press lightly with the stamp in the ink pad and onto the canvas bag or you will end up with a little extra gray than you anticipated! 🙂

Paper Pumpkin Desk Mess,

Then because I bought the biggest bag of candy possible and couldn’t resist wanting to eat it all, I thought I would make more treat bags using others I had on hand!

Bunny Bags,

Next, I used the small Gusseted Cellophane Bags, added some candy and stamped the bunny face! I used up the clothespins with some of the Baker’s Twine tied around it and when I ran out of those I used some Playful Palette Washi Tape. These were so simple and quick to create! I love them!

Glassine Bunny Treats,

When I ran out of the gusseted bags, I used a few of the Glassine Gift Bags I had. I just stamped right onto the bag and used some leftover bunny ear stickers!

Spring Bunny Cards,

Okay, I almost forgot the 9 cards from this kit as well! Now you know why I am blown away with everything I got out of this kit!! Aren’t these little cards adorable! I created the folded over bunny ear by stamping it on the sticker and cutting it out! Just like this…

The March Kit is my favorite one of the year so far; love it!!! I can’t believe how much I was able to create with the products in this kit and the stamp set! I love how Paper Pumpkin comes with enough to complete the kit as well as extras to use on other projects! Don’t forget today is the last day to sign up for the April Kit! February 2017 Paper Pumpkin – Many Happy Birthdays!!!

Posted on

February Paper Pumpkin 2017,

How fabulous is this February 2017 Paper Pumpkin Kit?!?!?!?! I love the pull tab concept and the beautiful candle look with that gold glimmer flame! Love it!!! You can see the entire reveal of this kit on my video here!

This kit came with all of the goodies shown above – 2 ink spots (bonus), stamps, 9 envelopes, adhesive, and supplies for the 9 cards. The only thing included but not pictured above is the invitation inserts. The kit included little cards that said Date, Time, Place, Etc to use these cards as birthday invitations. Since I just did all birthday cards, I have those to use on future invites or as a white card using the back side!!!

Of course the instructions came with the kit as well. TIP: READ THE INSTRUCTIONS! I did not as I am more of a visual person and I thought while I was watching a video, I would fold and assemble all of the candle bases. After this was done, I read the instructions for the rest of the card and realized I was suppose to stick the flame in each one before sealing it closed. Opps! Crisis averted when I used my Paper Snips to open the little tops and slide in the candle flame! It was easy!

Many Happy Birthdays,

I actually pulled out my Crushed Curry Ink Pad as well for some more color! I really had fun decorating each of these and the envelope flaps! Also, there are little grooves so you can add a gift card or note! Super fun!!!

Did you get the February 2017 Paper Pumpkin Kit? Do you love it? Let me know in the comments below!

January 2017 Paper Pumpkin – Adoring Arrows!!!

Posted on

Valentine's Treats Paper Pumpkin,

I always get excited for the January Paper Pumpkin kit because it is almost always Valentine’s Day treats!!! I love Valentine’s Day because it is the perfect day to show your love to everyone around you!!! I love passing out treats to family, friends and even those I see while running my weekly errands like those at the Bank, Post Office, and Grocery Store. This kit comes with 24 little treat bags so I’ll have tons to share with everyone!!!! Eeeee Super excited!!! You can see the reveal of this kit in this video!!!

Paper Pumpkin Hearts,

The stamps are precious and fun greetings for all occasions! TIP: Leave the hearts on the sheet to stamp and then pop them out! This way they stay still and are easier to line up!! Tip #2 make sure the heart is right side up! lol Yeah, the first heart I stamped was upside down. Ops!!! 🙂

Hearts & Arrows,

For the little arrows, you will place the hearts on the pointed tip end and the feathers on the opposite end. Be sure to press hard on both sides of the stick to really make it stick tight!

Shooting Arrow,

I used the little glue dots provided in the kit to help with closing the top flap since the little gold heart wasn’t enough. I placed 1 glue got to hold the top closed and then I put one on each side of the flap and folded it over. These 3 dots and the gold heart seem to work perfectly!!! If you forget to place the arrow under the flap, you can always add it to the front above the heart! Love them!!! I put 2 Hershey bars or a few kisses in each one! Yum!!!

I can’t wait to see the February Kit because it will be a super surprise since there isn’t any holidays coming up! If you would like to get the February Kit, be sure to sign up before the 10th of the month!!! Click here to get your kit! Want a steal?? December 2016 Paper Pumpkin Kit – Another Great Year!!!

Posted on

The December 2016 Paper Pumpkin arrived and I was super excited as always because I love the surprise and excitement. It is all wrapped up like a present. You can check out the unboxing of the kit here as well as see all of the contents. I was super excited about the Basic Black Marker because you always need one of those. They are perfect to journal with or use on your stamps or color in! The Rotary Stamp is super cute too and has lots of great greetings for memory keeping. I will be using that in my albums for sure! I thought the concept for the little mini album was adorable and all but when it came time to make it I just didn’t think I would use it. I could have made it and given it away but I thought I would do cards instead! So here is what I came up with…..Washi Tape Cards,

I created a total of 24 Cards using the supplies in the kit. I used Whisper White and Crushed Curry for my card bases and I used the Number of Years Stamp Set. I like how it had Birthday and Anniversary so I could use the numbers in the kit too! Also, I always need lots of those styles anyway! All of the patterned background came from the kit as well as the stickers and washi tape! The greeting pieces were cut from the leftover designer paper pieces. I just used the ones that had a white back and I cut off the design if there was a border.

Window Sheet Cards,

I used the Window Sheet designs that were in the kit for all of these cards. Window Sheets can be tricky to use since the adhesive shows through them so I just used the Washi Tape provided to secure them down! Simple and fabulous!

Birthday Age Cards,

I used lots of stickers on these since there were so many in the kit. I went through my Birthday list to see the ages of upcoming birthdays. After I had all of those done, I did a few saying Happy 21st Birthday (again). I can give those cards to anyone! 😉

Anniversary Cards,

I love that gray flower/twig pattern and thought it was super elegant for Anniversary cards. I added a little Silver Ribbon to give it some texture. And while 24 cards is A LOT…..look at all of the leftover pieces.

December Paper Pumpkin,

So most of those scraps on the far left, I’ll probably toss but that is what I used for the greetings. There are still some numbers left and 3 Window Sheets which I’ll save for my memory keeping! The entire sheet of lines to journal on are still there too which I’ll save for memory keeping as well. 24 cards and all of these goodies! I just love all of the stuff that comes in a small little Paper Pumpkin Box!

Start your year off right with Paper Pumpkin. You can sign up to get the January Kit by January 10th. Click here to get started! Don’t forget that you can save with you purchase the Pre-Paid Subscription! Check those out here! Can’t wait to open our boxes together later this month!!!

November 2016 Paper Pumpkin – Wonderful Winterland!!!

Posted on

paper-pumpkin Blue Box,

The November Paper Pumpkin arrived and I was even more excited that normal (if that’s possible) because the box was different!!! It was this stunning two-toned blue beauty!!! Love it!!!! Then I opened it up and saw the amazing goodies inside which you can check out here in my Unboxing Video! It came with TWO ink pads!!!!

These are just so incredibly stunning. This is probably my favorite kit this year……although I can’t remember each kit but I LOVE THIS. These little cards are super easy to put together and look so amazing and real with the layers and dimension. First you will stamp the little trees in the stamp set over the trees die-cut out. It is super simple to do since the stamps are photopolymer! Also, add you greeting at this time as well. Then you will assemble each layer!

3D Snowy Village,

Did anyone else squeal at the mini Stampin’ Dimensionals in the kit??? I sure did! You know my love for them anyway but they are so little and adorable! Add Dimensionals to the white piece with trees and add it to the blue hill with 1 house (house on the left). Then add more Dimensionals to the back and add it to the blue hill with lots of houses (houses on the right). I placed my dimensionals so they weren’t directly on top of each other. So if I put one in the bottom corner on one layer, I put it up top on the next layer. Next you will stamp the snowflakes on the card front, add the vellum with the glue dots and then layer on your village scene! Finish it off with sequins and the Baker’s Twine!!!

Happy Holidays,

I just love them so much! They look like a real village of beautiful houses in the winter time. That frosted look from the vellum, the sequin shine, and the dimension of the village! Best kit ever!!!! Then there is the cute blue envelopes as well!!! I totally sent these out already as some of my Christmas Cards!!! I finished this up this week! How about you? Do you send out Christmas Cards? Are you done yet? How many do you send out?? Let me know in the comments below! I would love to hear what you do! 🙂

October 2016 Paper Pumpkin – Season of Gratitude

Oh my goodness, check out these beauties!!! I have recently started playing more with Shaker Cards so I was excited to see this kit!!! Check out more shaker cards here and if you would like to see my excitement for this kit as I reveal it, click here! The sequins in this kit are just stunning!!!

Here are all of the goodies that came in the kit – stamps, Chocolate Chip Ink, card bases, envelopes, sequins, Baker’s Twine, and adhesives!!! Everything you need which is fabulous for beginners and lots of stamping fun which is perfect for any crafter!!

After stamping the crackle image on each of the colored squares, I adhered them to the card base and added the Adhesive Foam Stripes provided! Then I poured in the 3 sizes of gorgeous sequins!!! Then I placed the top (vanilla leaves) over the sequins with the window sheet over the open leaves.

I always am in need of Thank You Notes so I stamped all of my banners with the same greeting from the set. Even after tying all of the banners, I still had all of that Baker’s Twine left. How amazing!?!?!

Aren’t they fabulous??? I’m not even a huge fan of fall but, oh my goodness, the sequins have stolen my heart!

The coordinating envelopes have a fabulous matching inside. I am so in love! You totally do not want to miss another month of Paper Pumpkin! Something Good To Eat!!!

Something Good To Eat,

The September Paper Pumpkin arrived and I was excited as always because I love seeing that orange box in the mailbox and the suspense of what is inside!!! You can see my excitement and all of the goodies inside here! All the goodies are in the photo above. I LOVE the test tubes. They are super cute and different than your typical treat bag or box. I was pumped!

Then I realized that none of the candy in the big bag that I bought for trick-or-treaters will fit into the test tube. Bummer. When giving treats to others, I try to always use prepackaged treats so this wasn’t going to work. I already had an idea for my Halloween treat so I decided to save these test tubes for Valentine’s Day (red hots, M&Ms, or Tic Tacs) or another project I have in mind (stay tuned). 😉 I stamped all of the witch’s pot and and scary cats in Pumpkin Pie Ink and used them for my Halloween Treats I planned on creating. Perfect!!! I was just using a “For You” tag!

Sunflowers, My favorite thing from this whole set after the test tubes was the stamp set – a SUNFLOWER!!!! It is a 2 step stamping sunflower so you can get that yellow petal/brown center. I used the banners and the sunflower tags and stamped all over to create 8 greeting cards!!!

The pumpkin stamp was super fun to do as well….once I figured it out! I think this is right…..stamp the solid pumpkin image with the splits on the top. Then stamp the outline/lines on the bottom side and the stem on the top! I used Pumpkin Pie Ink and Garden Green Ink. These cards are perfect for the Fall. I plan on using them for my Thank You Notes to customers for their orders and just general thinking of you cards this Fall!

Here are all of the tags (minus the sunflower) that came in the kit. With so many, I was able to create tons of cards and treat bags. I am saving the gold border and black border tags for the test tube project or another project! I’m so excited I got 14 cards, tags for my treat bags and still lots of leftovers for another project! I love Paper Pumpkin even if I don’t make the intended project! Here are a lot more ways to use the tubes – check out this video! I think a Pumpkin Spice Mix would be fabulous! After all everyone seems to love pumpkin spice!

Don’t forget that you can get signed up for the October Paper Pumpkin Kit before the 10th using the Promo Code: BOGO and you will get your November Kit for FREE!!!! Click here to get signed up!
