Summer Flowers!!!

Posted on

I’m going to hold onto Summer as long as I can. Last week, Fall tried to creep in with it’s 50/60’s over night though. Not today, Fall! Today, I’m sharing some summer flowers because they brighten my day!!!

Summer Flowers, www.LaurasStampPad.com

You all know how much I love flowers and the Jar of Flowers Stamp Set is so up my alley! Add in that cute mason jar and I’m hooked. Plus the jar is a punch so it’s quick and simple!

I started with a Misty Moonlight card base. Next, I added a strip of Just Jade that I embossed with the Greenery Embossing Folder. This gives the perfect amount of texture and I love it! Then I took a piece of Whisper White measuring 3″ x 4-1/4″ for the focal point. You can use any of the flowers in the set which makes this card even more versatile. Be sure to stamp the flowers close to the top of the cardstock so there is plenty of room for the jar below. I used Memento Black Ink to stamp the flowers and then the stems below it. The stems don’t have to match up exactly with the flowers since the jar covers up the overlap part.

Now it’s time to color! Again with the soft blues and greens in the base, you can really color the flowers any color you wish! I went with Stampin’ Blends – Rococo Rose, Seaside Spray, Daffodil Delight, and Just Jade. Be sure to color the stems as well!

Now for that fun jar, stamp the vellum cardstock with the jar and let it dry completely before you punch it out. Since vellum is a slick surface, it can take a bit longer to dry than regular cardstock. Place the jar over the flowers to see exactly where you need to stamp your water then scoot it over to the side out of the way but still as a guide. I stamped my water in Misty Moonlight stamped off once for a lighter look! After stamping it down, I added the jar over the top with Mini Glue Dots. The baker’s twine was actually added before I adhered down the jar but you can always adhere the bottom portion down first. This will help it hold still for you a little more.

I hope you all enjoyed this Summer Flowers card as much as I did! If you want to recreate it, check out the supplies below. For more inspiration using the Jar of Flowers, click here and here!

A New Take…

Posted on

So I had some leftover pre-cut cards that I played with the other day! I decided not to create the same exact card as the original. You can check that out here! Here is a new take on the card using different stamps!

A New Take on an Old Look, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I used the same Seaside Spray card base. Then some of the cards used both the Whisper White and Pacific Point cardstock and some only used one. For ink colors, I played with Basic Gray, Pacific Point, and Seaside Spray! Some of the flowers I even colored in with Stampin’ Blends to add a pop of color! Each card looks totally different and I really like it. The stamp set that I used was the Tasteful Touches Stamp Set! It was perfect for all of the different looks!

Different Shades of Blue Flowers, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Here I stamped the left flower in Seaside Spray and then colored it in. It came out looking super soft! The middle flower was stamped in Basic Gray and then colors in with Seaside Spray and it has a much bolder look. The flower on the right is stamped in Pacific Point and colored in with Seaside Spray. I think that one is my favorite. Which one is your favorite??? Let me know in the comment below!

Check out all of the supplies listed below. If you want to see me create these cards, I did it on a Facebook Live a few weeks ago. Check it out here!!!

Bundle of Sunflowers!!!

Posted on

Happy Monday!!! This card was created for a large virtual demonstrator event that I was apart of and I really fell in love with it! The bundle of sunflowers are just so fun and fresh! The greeting speaks volumes and the layout is a new one I haven’t used before (or at least in a long time)!

Bundle of Sunflowers, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For this card, I started with a Misty Moonlight card base. Next, I took a piece of Whisper White measuring 4″ x 5-1/4″. Before stamping on this piece, I placed the Bumblebee (1-1/2″ x 4″) on the right hand side as a guide for where my flowers should be stamped. Since I used Stampin’ Blends to color in the flowers, I stamped the images in Memento Black Ink! Be sure to leave a little bit of space between the flowers and the stems so your bow fits perfectly in that gap!

The piece of Bumblebee was actually created with the lined images from the Jar of Flowers Stamp Set. I stamped it diagonally and just stamped once around the middle of the cardstock and then worked my way out. Just follow along in that same diagonal pattern and you are golden. No need for perfection as it is a small piece and the greeting covers a lot too. After stamping, add it to the far right edge. Then using some of the Flowers For Every Season Designer Series Paper, I cut a 1/2″ x 4″ piece and placed it over the edge of the Bumblebee. This gives a smoother look between the two papers.

Coloring Sunflowers with Stampin' Blends, www.LaurasStampPad.com

After coloring the flowers and assembling all the pieces, I added the greeting on and the little ribbon bow. I used a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the bow! For the greeting, I used the Label Me Lovely Punch which is my favorite right now! <3

Creating a 2 Tone Flower!!!

Posted on

Happy Tuesday!!!! I’m excited to share a Technique Tuesday with you!!!! It’s been way to long for sure! 🙂 Today, we are creating a 2 Tone Flower with Sponge Daubers and it’s oh so fabulous! You all know how much I love flowers!!! 🙂

Creating a 2 Tone Flower, www.LaurasStampPad.com

These flowers are just stunning and I am loving the color combination of Seaside Spray and Highland Heather so much! They are soft but yet still POP! For the centers of the flowers, I used Crushed Curry Ink and the leaves were stamped in Pear Pizzazz! One of the other bonuses to this card is the fact that it is all ONE stamp set – Blossoms in Bloom! When you can get a greeting and a fabulous image out of 1 set, it’s a killer deal in my opinion.

Wink of Stella Shine, www.LaurasStampPad.com

To finish off the card, I added Wink of Stella to the flowers for that amazing shine! Check out the video below to see what happens when you request even more glittery shine! 🙂 LOL It’s all good!

Stamping Flowers Tutorial, www.LaurasStampPad.com

You will notice in the video tutorial I used Highland Heather behind the greeting rather than Seaside Spray as pictured above. Let me know in the comments which one you prefer!!

Is there such a thing???

Posted on

You all know how much I love stamping with flowers, right??? Is there such a thing as too many flowers???

Is there such a thing, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I created this card and I love it but I also think it might be too much! Let me know what you think in the comments below! I did change this up and went with a similar but different look! Stay tuned as I will post that card soon!

I started with a Misty Moonlight card base. Next, I took a piece of Whisper White measuring 4″ x 5-1/4″ and stamped the flowers from Jar of Flowers on either side at the top. Since I colored the flowers with Stampin’ Blends, I stamped the flowers in Memento Black. The Blends that I used were Rococo Rose, Soft Seafoam, Daffodil Delight, and Seaside Spray! I, also, stamped another set of the flowers on scrap paper and fussy cut them out!

Using the diagonal strip image from the Jar of Flowers Stamp Set, I stamped a piece of Bumblebee cardstock with Bumblebee Ink. Don’t worry if this isn’t perfect. Just start with an angle and keep going. It will be just fine and adding the greeting over the top helps to hide any imperfections!

Jar of Flowers, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Now to assemble it all together. I added the fussy cut flowers in the center with Stampin’ Dimensionals to give some texture and make the flowers pop more. Then I added the Bumblebee stamped cardstock on the lower half of the cardstock. Using Misty Moonlight Ribbon, I placed a strip across the card where the paper overlaps! This gives a nice smooth look between the two paper! Now you can add this to your card base. Then I placed a little bow that I created with the same ribbon in the center using a Mini Glue Dot.

For the greeting, I used one from the Celebrate Sunflowers Stamp Set and the Label Me Lovely Punch. Here is a video tutorial for you to see how I layered the label punch! You can always use the greeting of your choice. I added this to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

So let me know if you are loving this card or if you think it’s too much….if there is such a thing! 🙂 If you would like to recreate this card, check out the supplies below! If you would like to see more in this Flowers For Every Season Suite, click here!

Memories & More!!!

You all know I love flowers but you have to check out these fun Memories & More Cards & Envelopes as well as the Card Collection for the Flowers For Every Season! These are just stunning! You can create cards or scrapbook with these amazing products!!

Memories & More, www.LaurasStampPad.com

While I started out as a scrapbooker, I do much more card making now! When the Memories & More Card Collections came out a few years ago, I sort of passed them up because I don’t scrapbook much anymore. I thought they were fabulous and cute for quick and simple scrapbooking though. THEN it all changed when Stampin’ Up started creating card & envelope packs to coordinate and that brought out a whole new ball game. These cards make amazing, quick, and simple cards that are fabulous! You could also use these cards as a little tag to write a note on when dropping off something to a friend. There are endless possibilities. I will be posting samples that I created next week. Today, you get to see what these products are!

March 2020 Paper Pumpkin!!!

Posted on

The March 2020 Paper Pumpkin Kit was AMAZING! I love the Spring look and the fun rain boots! It also came with an extra stamp set which is super fun too! Check out all 12 of the cards in this kit!

March 2020 Paper Pumpkin, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I just love all of these cards! The coordinating striped envelopes are super cute too! I’m not 100% sure which color goes with which card but that’s okay!

Cute Rain Boots, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This card is so fun because of all the colorful boots. My first card was that bottom left hand card. Notice that the green boots don’t line up with the girl’s boots. Oppps! I didn’t realize that they matched up and so I just placed the boots down. 🙂 No one will notice! This card has the clear raindrops on it that add just a little bit of texture and shine!

Bunnies, www.LaurasStampPad.com

The bunny is adorable and makes this a fun Easter card! You can see that a I used the clear epoxy dots for this card. The photo doesn’t show it very well but there are like 3 above the flowers and 2 over by the bunny!

Waiting out the storm, www.LaurasStampPad.com

I’m not a huge fan of storms because….well…they are scary! Seeing these beautiful flowers and cute boots just proves to me that there is still beauty during the storm. There is hope that we will get through it and we will!

Paper Pumpkin is so much fun and I love getting something new each month that is a surprise! I love getting card kits that are perfect for the time of year we are in. Join in the fun with me and get Paper Pumpkin too! Click here to sign up for 1 month or as long as you want!

Another Sensational Year!!!

Posted on

Everyone should celebrate their birthday like it’s the greatest day ever because after all, IT IS!!!! You were born and are here to celebrate! It’s fabulous!!! This card is perfect to celebrate that and wish you the best for another sensational year!!!

Best Dressed, www.LaurasStampPad.com

It’s just so beautiful! The colors, the flowers, and that fabulous layered greeting! I love it all!

I started with a Blackberry Bliss card base. Next, I layered a piece of Best Dressed Designer Series Paper (3-3/4″ x 5″) onto a piece of Purple Posy (4″ x 5-1/4″). Before adding this to the card front, I tied some Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding around it. I just tied it into a knot but you could always go for the bow!

Label Me Lovely Punch, www.LaurasStampPad.com

For the greeting, I stamped it from the Sending You Thoughts Sale-A-Bration Stamp Set in Blackberry Bliss Ink! Then I punched it out with the Label Me Fancy Punch! This was then layered onto a Blackberry Bliss piece that I punched out with the Label Me Lovely Punch. I added this to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals for some added texture!

Another Sensational Year, www.LaurasStampPad.com

Blackberry Bliss is a super dark color so of course I needed some decoration on the inside. I added in a piece of Whisper White and just put a little leftover strip of the designer paper on the left side. The greeting comes from the same stamp set and coordinates so well! I love it!

Check out all of the supplies listed below so you can make this another sensational year card! Also, check out this one for more inspiration using these products!
