Final #40DayChallenge

Posted on

Happy Friday!!! I can’t believe its the final #40DayChallenge although I’m pretty sure I’m going to keep it up a bit. I have really enjoyed sending out cards randomly to brighten people’s day! It just warms my heart!

Mr Rogers Stamps,

I had to make a run to the Post Office this week for more stamps and picked up these cute Mr Roger’s Stamps. Picking out stamps is fun for me and I always like to get pretty ones or cute ones. There has been lots of love stamps lately so I’m ready for something new and fresh! I sent out a huge stack of Thank You notes to all my customers who ordered from me in March as well as some more baby Thank You Notes. There were a few birthdays and thinking of you mixed in there as well. I shipped out 2 packages of fun mail with cards in them too! Of course I was reusing a Stampin’ Up box that came to me with goodies in it. 🙂

Final #40DayChallenge,

This last photo is the current stack of cards that I’m taking with me when I go out later today. It’s been raining FOREVER it seems here in Illinois this week so I have only gotten out a few times. Running errands or activities in the rain is the worst for me. This last stack of cards includes some Thank You, Birthday, Thinking of You and an Easter Card to Brad’s Grandma with some bump photos in there! 🙂 While the challenge is coming to an end, I will still be sending out tons of cards because we all need more happy in the world! Also, I’m not going to stop stamping cards so I might as well share with others too! 🙂

I recently participated in a challenge for crafty/stamping limericks. This isn’t really my thing but my husband is super creative and came up with these so I thought I would share! Enjoy!!!

There once was a lady quite crafty
Her stamp room was often quite drafty
She took all her scraps
Filled in all the gaps
And now she’s no longer unhappy

There once was a girl with a Big Shot
Her husband forever did boycott
She tried to convince him
The outlook was quite grim
So now she cranks dies like a hot shot

There once was a girl who used rhinestones
Stuck on everything like a cyclone
Where you least expect
Where ever you check
They’re even affixed to your foot bone

Don’t forget that Sale-A-Bration ends TOMORROW, Saturday, March 31st! You don’t want to miss out on this amazing promotion. Every $50 order earns you a FREE ITEM. Click here to see all of the items you can pick from! Also, I’m offering DOUBLE Laura’s Loyal Stampers Stickers on all orders placed today and tomorrow! Woot Woot! Double Bonus!!!

Cards For All Occasions!!!

Posted on

Happy Friday, everyone! Spring is here and we have had some sunshine this week so I am PUMPED! Too bad the weekend forecast is all rain. Boo! Anyway lets talk about cards for all occasions to be sent out for #40DayChallenge!

Cards for All Occasions,

An update on my #40DayChallenge: This week was a bit of a struggle as I had a busy week and Baby Ziggy made me super exhausted. I did get out Baby Shower Thank You Notes, Birthday Cards, and a few cards for Just Because. It has really been fun and moving for me to do this!!! I got another message from a card recipient this week say, “Got you cards today!! So sweet – I loved it and totally needed it today after feeling blah all day.” The power of a hand-stamped card is strong for sure!

Happy Mail,

Here is another set of cards waiting to go in the mail today! I worked on these last night while watching March Madness Basketball! Is your bracket busted like mine or are you still good? Let me know in the comments below!!!

Different Colored Hammocks,

I also wanted to share these fun variations of the Hammock Card I created. You can see the full post on this card here! Do you like to create a card with slight variations like this or do them all the exact same?? My favorite is the Bermuda Bay hammock on the far right. Which one is yours?

Only 1 week left of Sale-A-Bration. Be sure to stock up now on all your favorites! Love Paper Pumpkin, get the pre-paid subscription and enjoy Sale-A-Bration freebies! Check out all of the goodies you can pick as your free item here!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! I’ll see you back here on Monday! Happy Stampin’

Over Half Way Through the #40DayChallenge!!!

Posted on

Happy Friday everyone!!! I can’t believe we are over half way through the #40DayChallenge!!! I’m still going strong but I will say I didn’t do good on photos this week. I went to the mailbox more often and just tossed them in. Then yesterday the mailman stopped by the house with a package and I asked if he wanted my outgoing mail. I didn’t think he would want to wait for me to grab by phone for a photo first. haha 🙂

Over Half Way Through the #40DayChallenge,

This week I sent a Sympathy, a few cards of encouragement, birthday card to a 90 year old, and thank you notes. A lot of the cards I have sent in this challenge have come from my friends on Facebook posting that it’s their father’s birthday or their friend needs a pick-me up or something similar. I always run to get an envelope and jot down the address to send a card. After all, that’s what I do! I love to make cards and so I feel like it’s easy for me to send one off and brighten the day of those around us! This challenge has been very fun and rewarding for me to feel like I am making a difference. My next challenge will be making a cards to restock my collection before little Ziggy arrives. I noticed my box has a lot of room in it! 🙂

Ronald McDonald Donation,

I wanted to share a Ronald McDonald House update as well. Some of you might know that I collect cards and tabs to send to the local (St. Louis area) Ronald McDonald Houses for them to use with their guests. You can check out some I have sent in the past here and here! Also, I have gone and made a meal there a few times and here is my story about that! Here is my latest box of cards and tabs that were sent off this week! Thank you so much to those who donated. I greatly appreciate your kindness and I know they do too! If you are interested in donating cards or tabs, you can find a Ronald McDonald House close to you or you are welcome to send them to me for my next package!

Off to Ronald McDonald House,

Here I am at the Post Office sending off the goodies and getting more stamps for the challenge!!! I hope you all are enjoying the challenge and even if you aren’t doing it for 40 days, send one this weekend or next week. You won’t regret it! 🙂

Don’t forget there are only a few days left of Sale-A-Bration and Stampin’ Up added even more goodies to redeem as your rewards for a $50 and $100 order. You can check them all out here! Orders in increments of $40 earn Laura’s Loyal Stampers Stickers too!! Orders of $75 or more will earn Laura’s Free Stamp Set of the Month which is the In The Trees Stamp Set! Woot Woot!

I hope you have an amazing weekend! I have a Baby Shower that I’m super excited about and we will be watching lots of basketball for March Madness! 🙂

See you back here on Monday! Happy Stampin’

I’m thinking I’ll use the Baby Bear Stamp Set for the next round…stay tuned! Also, I sent out cards for Birthdays, Anniversarys, encouraging those in my Fabulous Friends Stamp Team, and reaching out to those I haven’t stamped with in a while! Next week, I have plans for more random cards to encourage and brighten people’s days!

I did get a few responses on the cards that I have sent and they warmed my heart to know others are loving them!

“Hey, I got your card in the mail the other day and I wanted to say Thank You.” (lots of smiling face emojis)

“I just wanted to say thank you for the card. It meant a lot to me!”

To me, knowing how a simple card can make such an impact on someone’s day or life is what keeps me going. I love what I do and I’m so happy I can share it with those around me! Join in the challenge and send a card this weekend. You won’t regret it!

#40DayChallenge Update!!!

Posted on

Happy Friday everyone!!! Today, I wanted to share a #40DayChallenge update to hold me accountable and keep you motivated if you are joining in!!! So far I’m doing good and really enjoying it. I feel like at this time I’m thinking of someone to send a card to so I’m not worried who to send a card to!

40DayChallenge Update,

I have sent cards for birthdays, thank yous, thinking of you, and Valentine’s Day cards!!! Some have been local and others have been out of state. It’s been a lot of fun spreading the love to those around me! At this point, the hardest part this week was the fact that it rained so much and I didn’t get to the mailbox. 🙂 Also, I have 6 packages with cards in them ready to go out but I haven’t gotten to the Post Office yet. Running errands in the rain is up there pretty high on my top pet peeves! Don’t you agree? Let me know if you do in the comments below! Surely I’m not alone!

Color Variations,

Yesterday I showed this fabulous card using the Brusho background! Here are some other color variations that I created – Yellow, Blue, and Orange. My stampers seemed to prefer orange or yellow! The blue was a delicate balance of going to dark and then I’m not sure I like the blue and black combination with banners. What is your favorite – Red (from yesterday) or one of these? Let me know in the comments below!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and I’ll see you back here on Monday!!! Happy Stampin’

40 Day Card Challenge!!!

Posted on

Join me in this 40 Day Card Challenge!!! I will be sending out a card each day for the next 40 days!!! I got this idea from a fellow stamper in our group, Katie Senkarik! I’m so excited and  a little bit nervous.

40 Day Card Challenge,

Here is my first set of cards going in the mail!!! These are Valentine’s and Thinking of You to friends and family of mine!!! I’m so excited for this push to brighten others days for 40 days…..maybe it will last longer than that too! 🙂 We all know how much a simple card or happy mail can impact someone’s day! Spread the love!!!!

If you are thinking that you don’t know 40 people to send cards too, here are some suggestions!!!!

~Parents, Grandparents, Children

~Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins

~Old school and college friends, as well as New Friends

~Someone in your Church, Mom’s Group, Quilting Group, Stamp Group, etc.

~Your favorite teacher or family friend who you remember spending lots of time with in the past and/or present

~That person on Facebook that asked for prayers or mentioned they got a new job

~Someone who might be struggling with a rough week at work

~Someone who has been sick recently or dealing with sick children or a sick elderly parent

~A person you haven’t spoken to in weeks, months, or even years

Sending a card to just about anyone would be amazing for that person but also for you! I know that when I send a card, I pop it in the mailbox with a smile on my face, thinking I hope this makes them smile as well!

I hope that you will join me in this challenge and you can follow along as I will be posting on my Instagram, Facebook, and on here to keep held accountable. If you would like to keep me updated on your progress, be sure to let me know in the comments below, on social media, or with the #40DayChallege. Together we can all make a difference!!!

Check out my little Video Tutorial about this Challenge below or click here! There is also a little Bump Picture in there too for those who want to see how big little Ziggy is getting. 🙂 Don’t forget to give it a thumbs up if you liked it and be sure to subscribe if you are new!

Happy 2018!!! Let’s Make It a Good One!!!

Posted on

Happy Monday! Happy 2018!!! Let’s Make It a Good One!

Happy 2018,

It always seems like a new year is a new start! While that is true, do know that you can start anything at any time. There is never a perfect time to start something so why not now or in 3 months or in 2 weeks. I would like to share a few of the things I hope to start, continue, enjoy, and do in 2018!!!

~Sending out cards is always special to me. I love making them and using them! Still to this day, it surprises me at how much a simple note in the mail (happy mail) can mean so much to someone! I plan to continue sending out Birthday Cards and Anniversary Cards to friends and family. Also, I hope to send out more “thinking of you” or “you got this.” Another thing to consider, while a sympathy card is great. Don’t forget to check in on the person a few months later too!!

~I love what I do!! While it doesn’t always feel like work because I enjoy it, sometimes I feel like I am always working! I’m hoping to set more time to focus on just work so that I’m not spending as many evenings and weekends working on things to get caught up. We shall see how this one pans out with our little one coming in May! I might just be working evenings and weekends or when I get a chance. 🙂

~I love taking pictures, making memories, and spending time with family! This is always something I hope to continue each year!!!  Taking time for vacations, trips to the zoo, and relaxing on the front porch at my parents house need to be scheduled in now!!!

~Last but not least, I hope to continue having a safe and healthy pregnancy the next few months! I hope to have a good delivery and a healthy baby! Can’t wait to hold our little bundle of joy!

What are some of your hopes, dreams, goals, or wishes for 2018?? Let me know in the comments below so I can cheer you on! Reach for the stars!

Happy 2018! Happy Stampin’

My Ribbon Storage!!!

Posted on

Happy Thursday! This week is flying by it seems. Today I’m sharing with you my ribbon storage. I recently changed it up to this style and I love it!!!

My Ribbon Storage,

I have all of my ribbons in one of these little show box plastic containers. The awesome thing about these is that they are cheap. I can typically get them from $89-$1.00. They can be found at a big box store (Wal-Mart, Target, etc.) so they are easy to find! They hold a decent amount of spools in each container and stack well. One of the things I love the most is that they are clear on the bottom!

Clear Box Ribbon Storage,

I can flip it over and look to see if I have a specific ribbon or to see which container it is in. They are fairly tight in there so it’s not like shaking it around will make a mess. (PS: It’s already a mess. I do have pins to put in the ribbon to keep them neat but I don’t always put them on there and sometimes the hole it creates makes it not worth the neatness.)

Shoe Box Container,

I have a little label on each of my containers so I know what is inside each…..not that I can’t tell. The labels are just so pretty though! My other container has baggies of the threads and baker’s twines as well. These containers fit so much stuff! I LOVE THEM!!!

If you would like to see this all in action, check out the Video Tutorial below or click here! Be sure to give the video a thumbs up if you liked it and don’t forget to subscribe if you are new. If you would like a notification when I post a new video, be sure to click the bell right next to the subscribe!!! Let me know if you have any tip and tricks to share in the comments below!
