If Flowers Were Hugs…

If Flowers Were Hugs, I Would Send You A Thousand. Is that not the sweetest greeting ever or what?!?!?!

If Flowers were Hugs, www.LaurasStampPad.com

This amazing card was created with the Abstract Impressions Stampin’ Up Stamp Set! I am in love with the greeting and of course it has flowers in it too! The flowers are multi-step stamping but there is no lining up needed. Just stamp the images over each other and it looks amazing!!! How easy is that!?!?!

I started with a Blueberry Bushel card base measuring 4-1/4″ x 11″. Next, I took a piece of Whisper White measuring 4″ x 5-1/4″ and stamped the flowers from the Abstract Impressions Stamp Set all over the background. I made sure to fall off the cardstock so that the pattern looks like it continues on. For that two-toned look, I simply stamped the larger more solid image in Blueberry Bushel Ink and then stamped off onto a scrap piece of paper and then on my project. For the smaller image, I stamped it in full strength Blueberry Bushel Ink. Then I added this piece to the card front.

For the greeting, I cut a piece of Pineapple Punch cardstock (4″ x 1-1/2″) and Whisper White cardstock (4″ x 1″). I stamped the greeting on the right side using the Abstract Impressions Stamp Set and Blueberry Bushel Ink. I went with the same color of ink so that I only needed 1 ink pad for this card! Easier clean up and no confusion as to which pad to stamp the image into always makes for quicker projects. Next, adhered the greeting to the Pineapple Punch and then tied some Blueberry Bushel Grosgrain Ribbon around on the left side. I added the greeting to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals for some texture.
